Heroic Strikes

Exodus Crash

Featuring one of the trickiest boss encounters in the game, Exodus Crash is home to Fallen Captain Thaviks the Departed. It’s quite the journey getting to him too. You’ll have to face off against a Fallen Walker, survive against Servitors and defeat mobs in the darkness.destiny-2-exodus-crash-strike-removed-from-heroic-strike-playlist.jpg.optimal

The Inverted Spire

Back during Destiny 2’s open beta days, this was the first Strike showcased by Bungie. What sets it apart from every other Strike is the amount of platforming you’ll have to do, especially when you reach its signature feature – the dreaded dig site. Guardians need to make their way to the boss room by dodging enormous rotating drill bits. destiny-2-protheon-modular-mind

The Pyramidion

Easily our favourite Strike currently in the game, The Pyramidion is a brilliant mixture of precarious platforming and chaotic fights as you descend towards a fabled Vex lake. Visually, there’s a pretty breathtaking moment where the Strike opens out into a complex array of endless Vex structures.d2_strike_the_pyramidion_08.1505940324

Savathun’s Song

Deep in the heart of the Solarium lies a huge Hive Shrieker called the Dark Heart. To get there you’ll have to navigate through an abundance of Hive infested corridors and a small network of caves. Expect to be rushed down by Hive Thralls every few seconds and come up against fearsome Hive Ogres as well – it’s far from the most pleasant Strikes.maxresdefault-3

The Arms Dealer

For this Strike you’ll be infiltrating Bracus Zahn’s base of operations and hopefullydropping him on sight. It’s far from easy though as there’s a number of sections where you’ve got no choice but to get caught up in a major skirmish against a horde of Cabal enemies.maxresdefault-4

Lake of Shadows

the Lake of Shadows takes place in the Taken riddled EDZ. You’ll be tasked with wiping out the Taken in their own backyard before winding your way through a network of murky tunnels a dam, defeating a number of Taken mini-bosses and taking on a massive Phalanx called Grask in order to cleanse the water they’ve contaminated.lakeofshadowsscreenshots1

S Guide

If you don’t wanna read here.

Statue Garden

The first encounter of Spire of Stars is the Statue Garden. you need to throw the ball at the center dome after the shield is lowered, which happens once the ball has been passed from player-to-player as they stand on the four pillars.

Statue-Garden-Fight-Spire-of-Stars-Pillars

Two pillars are located on the left and right of the arena, and when stood on by a player, gives a debuff called Engulfed. This debuff counts down to zero, once it reaches zero the player will die. The only way to stop from dying on a pillar is to hold the ball. Holding onto the ball adds a debuff called Greed that slowly counts up, and when it reaches 10, the player will die. Greed will slowly descend when the ball is no longer held.

dc2c69dc1c8b5b938b15bf675afaaa38.png

Standing on the pillar with the ball raises the pillar up into the air and all four pillars must be raised in order to lower the dome’s shield. Once the shield is lowered, the ball can be thrown at the dome to deal damage. If a pillar is at ground level, a red fire will glow, indicating that the team will wipe if the pillar isn’t raised.

make sure two players are assigned the task of killing adds.

One player takes the ball, stands on the pillar and throws it at the dome to begin the encounter.

The ball respawns and is then passed to one player who stands on the pillar to raise it. The ball is thrown to the next player to do the same thing. This is repeated for each pillar and will likely require two complete laps before the “Shield Lowered” message appears on the bottom left. Once the “Shield Lowered” message appears, the ball is thrown at the dome. repeat this two more times to finish the encounter.

Power Conduit

the Power Conduit can be one of the more challenging sections, especially for players who struggle who can’t jump onto platforms somehow. all you need to do is carry a ball across the platforms and throw it into a socket.

simple enough right, but the challenge is that the ball gives the same Greed debuff from the Statue Garden encounter, and once it reaches 10, the player holding the ball dies. This means you will need to play hot potato and throw the ball back-and-forth fun right?

Power-Conduit-Area-Spire-of-Stars.jpg

This section can be started by heading to the right and into a room that contains a lever. The lever can only be activated when three players are in the room. Pulling the lever extends the bridge that will lead to the next lever room.

The next step is getting the first ball, which can be found by going to the far-right where a lone platform is sticking out. There is a box on the side of a pipe that must be shot, and then the roof above the platform should be destroyed. The ball will fall from the ceiling and must now be carried and thrown to the next socket. The rest of the Power Conduit follows this pattern, where the ball must be carried/thrown across the jumping puzzle and thrown into the socket.

Celestial Observatory

The Celestial Observatory is the final room in the Spire of Stars Raid Lair, and it’s where the Fireteam will encounter the final boss, but before then, there are three ships that must be destroyed. The goal of this encounter is to send one player into space with a ball and debuff, who will then throw the ball at a ship to destroy it. There are only a few steps to this encounter.

Celestial-Observatory-Spire-of-Stars-Plates-and-Buttons-2

Clear starting enemies

stand on all four platforms to activate the central lift

One player with the Superior Retainer buff goes into space and calls out symbol (square, circle, triangle)

destiny-2-greed-charge.png

Other players stand on the three buttons to open the doors

One player grabs the ball, then the debuff, and throws it at the socket the Superior Retainer called out (square, circle, triangle)

Stand on platforms to activate lift

Superior Retainer grabs the ball, and the debuff, enters the lift, and throws it at the specific ship

Repeat until all ships are cleared.

Celestial Observatory – Defeat Val Ca’our

Once the three ships are destroyed, the fight with Val Ca’our can begin. This fight has all the steps of the previous fight but adds in additional mechanics. The goal of the Val Ca’our fight is to destroy two ships at once, and then throw three balls at the body of Calus at the same time to activate the damage phase against Val Ca’our.

Approach the Calus robot to start the encounter

Clear enemies

Pass around the ball to remove the Engulfed debuff, last person throws the  ball at Val Ca’our

Celestial-Observatory-Defeat-Val-Ca-Our-Throw-Ball-to-Teammates.jpg

Kill Gladiators

Stand on platforms to activate lift

Superior Retainer goes into space and calls out the two symbols they see

Celestial-Observatory-Defeat-Val-Ca-Our-Two-Ships

Players stand on buttons to open doors while two players get the balls, the mist, and then throw the balls at the correct sockets

Celestial-Observatory-Destroy-Ships-Socket-Spire-of-Stars

Players stand on the platforms to activate the lift

Two Superior Retainers grab the balls, the mist, go up the lift, and throw the balls at the highlighted ships

Grab the ball, and then the mist, and hold onto it, grab the second ball, the mist, and hold onto it, grab the final ball, then the mist, and all players collect the Greed mist and then throw all three balls at the Calus robot then Damage Val Ca’our

When Val Ca’our has been dealt critical damage and has no health left, more balls will appear in the room and every player will need to grab a ball and throw it at Val Ca’our. Once all balls have hit the boss, Val Ca’our will be defeated and the Spire of Stars Raid Lair will be finished.

Escaping The Reactor

Once you’ve landed, follow the path, jump down the hole and continue through until you reach the first encounter.

once you’ve made it you’ll need to hop onto platforms that emerge from the water when the one of the plates has been stepped on.

Assign numbers 1-6 for your fireteam. This will be the order you’re jumping across the platforms.

When the first platform emerges from the water, the first person will hop onto it. When the next platform emerges the first guy will jump onto the second platform, while the second guy in line will take their place on the first platform, and so on. Essentially, you’re all hopping onto platforms playing follow the leader.jpg

be careful though if two people step on the same plate at once it will glow red and begin to sink either killing you both or cause you to jump on someone else plate thus killing them too and messing it all up.

Once you’ve reached the final platform there will be an audio cue and they’ll all turn red, this is means that they’re all about to plummet back into the water. Don’t panic, just run as fast as possible to the other side.

It seems that only one person really needs to reach the end as the platforms will stay raised once you’ve made it.

Eventually you’ll reach the next section which requires you to repeat the same process, but in two teams of three. one team going left, the other going right.

Things get harder as the platforms begin raising in all sorts of directions. Just follow the same protocol. call out where you’re going and you’ll get to the end in no time.

Once you’re through to the end, you’ll need to take out a number of Cabal Loyalists. There’s not much to this part, split into two groups and kill them.

Break the Barrier

When you’re done with the Loyalists and you’ll have to move through an engine room filled with tubes.

Pistons will emerge from the wall, glow red and emit an Arc pulse which will insta-kill anyone out in the open. To avoid this, run along the tubes and hide behind a wall.

destiny2-raid-lair-engine.jpg

Once you’re  done, you’ll be sucked into a tube and ejected through the Leviathan’s mouth.

Destroy The Mines

Hop down and control your fall so you dodge the boulders and parkour your way over to the next area.

You’ll notice there are Vex heads or Craniums circling the zone. You need to pick these up and put them into the glowing altars to charge them with a corresponding elemental energy.

The massive structure in the center is dotted with huge coloured mines that are threatening to explode (blue for Arc, Purple for Void, orange solar). You’ll need to grab the charged craniums and use the corresponding elemental laser beam they fire to destroy the mines before they detonate.

Destiny 2 - Eater of Worlds 29.png

Split into three teams of two. At each plate you’ll have one person who’s job is to deal with adds (Defender), and the other who’s grabbing the craniums and charging them (Runner).

There are 6 craniums and each plate has 3 altars, so you can charge multiple cannons at once. Make sure to grab craniums from the left side so you don’t grab someone else’s craniums.

call out which side has mines on it and call out the mines you see. For example, 2 Void and 1 Solar.  the runners will begin charging them with the right element. Meanwhile, the defenders are keeping enemies under control.

When the craniums are ready the runners will grab them and begin shooting the corresponding mines. They’ll have enough charge to take out 1 and a half mines, so someone else can finish off the other or you can go back and grab another charged cranium.

Keep calling out which mines are active and what elemental cannons are needed. Repeat this process for all three sides and you’ll move onto the final boss fight.

Argos, Planetary Core Boss Fight

D2_PC_Osiris2017_12_10_19h46m32s459.0.jpg

Argos will choose a side which the center will glow on his enormous shield. Surrounding this will be giant 3 elemental orbs, all corresponding to different elements. So, you’ll need to “cook” the craniums again.

Now use the craniums to shoot the matching element of the floating orbs in the sky. Get 3 party members with their craniums and shoot them at the same time so they begin moving across the shield and crash into the center. This will begin a damage phase.

D2_PC_Osiris2017_12_10_19h50m07s081 (1)

Damage Phase

If you’ve got any charged craniums left, make sure you use them all up in the boss phase or to clear out a adds.

pop Rifts and do as much damage as possible. Try and ensure you’re using subclasses that are perfect for boosting your damage potential. Gunslinger Hunters and Arc Soul Rifts from Warlock Stormcallers are great.

Try and keep slightly separated because Argos will try to trap you all in a Prism or wipe you all out with dive bombing harpies.if you are trapped in a prism call out for help so your teammates will shoot you down.D2_PC_Osiris2017_12_10_19h50m29s331.jpg

Once you’ve dealt enough damage it’ll go invulnerable, platforms pop into view and it’ll threaten to blow you all up. Split into two groups of three, position yourselves on either sides of its body and look out for the glowing white weak spots.

Destiny-2-Eater-of-Worlds-Argos-Guide-Ring-Phase

The focus on this phase isn’t to do big damage, it’s about keeping sustained fire on your target. As you’re shooting a limb it’ll begin to glow increasingly red don’t stop until it’s exploded.

You only need to destroy 2 limbs to stop him from wiping you and there are 3 sets of 2 vulnerable areas. So, it’s best to go: 1. Arms, 2. Head, 3. Back.

Of course, this means you have 4 damage phases to defeat this boss. If you don’t take him out in 4 phases, you’ll wipe and have to start again.

If you’ve taken out two limbs, you’ll need to return back to your original position and begin cooking up some craniums depending on what’s needed. You’ll have to repeat all these steps, but once you’ve been through it successfully once it’ll get easier every time.

L guide

if you don’t feel like reading here.

Castellum

Once you enter the castellum you need to find the door for the encounter you have to do, itll be the only door with adds around it. you need to kill the adds around the door, when they’ve all died a symbol will a appear, go to the door with the symbol. each door has a flag with a symbol on it on each side.  you’ll need to kill the boss in order to grab the standard and bring it to the door you’re need to unlock you’ll need to do this three times and have you’re teammates protecting the standards from adds  bosses that will try to take back the standard. Once you have done all this the door will open and you’ll get a loot from the chest in the middle of the door.PS4_Screenshot_2017_09_14_16_59_23.png

Dogs/Pleasure Gardens

in this encounter you’ll need to kill all the adds in the room once you’ve done that you’ll need to go in the middle and figure out who’ll be crystals and who’ll be seeds. people who are seeds need to go around and collect spores from lit up purple flowers all while not getting caught by the 6 dogs in the room that spawn in. the crystal people will guide you and shoot the flowers along with the beast handlers that spawn after each time you get spores. once you’ve gotten enough spores or get caught by the dogs you’ll need to kill all six dogs to end. the the encounter and get loot but if you can’t go back into the middle and get into the vault to not get killed by the wipe mechanic and then do it again until all dogs are dead.

PS4_Clip_1_Screenshot_2017_09_14_18_47_03.0.png.jpeg

Baths/Royal Pools

you’ll need one person on each of the outer plates and two people in the middle to switch  places with those who need it. to start you’ll need to jump on the platform and grab the ball that gives you psionic protection when you’re low tell the people in mid and one will bail you out but watch out because before your buff runs out a bather will spawn so make sure to kill it. replenish you’re psionic protection buff in the middle plate and switch out with someone else who’s low. you finish the encounter by standing on the plates until you hear a gong ring then you run into the middle and start to damage the purple lanterns and once their destroyed you can get the loot.

maxresdefault-7.jpg

Gauntlet

have you’re team split up and have one person on each plate and two people running orbs. once plates rise have people shoot the arrows that the runners haven’t called out and then the runner will dunk the orb in the middle then rinse and repeat until you’ve done this three times after that you’ll all need to grab a ball in the middle and be sent into the running place and if you’ve never failed you’ll only need three people to live and dunk their orbs in the middle once thats done youve completed the gauntlet.

destiny-2-leviathan-raid-walkthrough-the-gauntlet_zcxr.jpg

Calus

posit you’re team up from void room and throne room and start the encounter by shooting calus’s cup, you’ll need to kill all the adds in the room and then youllbe teleported into calus’s nightmare realm. have the throne room people jump into the orbs infant of you so they’ll be teleported into calus’s room if your in the nightmare realm you’ll need to call out the symbol you see on calus’s head and kill the pistons you see rinse and repeat until you’re no longer being sucked forward. you’ll then need to kill as many skulls as possible. if you’re in throne room just kill adds and punch the poison at the symbol you didn’t hear. once you’re out of the nightmare realm you need to all stand on one of the glowing plates to do damage. once he attacks the plate you’re on just hop onto another until you’re out of plates. if you kill him you’re done YAY. if youdidnt just do everything again until you do.

calus.0.png.jpeg

Iron Banner

iron banner is basically 6v6  domination but once your team captures all 3 zones whether or not the other team is trying to secure a zone, all three zones become locked for 20 seconds so your team can massacre your enemies without worrying about the objective however once the 20 seconds are up the zones turn neutral and you’ll need to cap them againmaxresdefault-2.jpg

Wins give you more of this currency than losses, and the more you play in the week, the more rewards you’ll be able to cash in and receive.

wins give you 5 tokens while challenge completions and losses give you 2, meanwhile milestone reputation bundles give you 15. Each time you level up the faction, you receive an engram with Iron Banner loot. you can also purchase specific Iron Banner weapons and gear if you have enough tokens.Iron-Banner-season-4-2.jpg

Game Modes

Countdown – a team of attackers must detonate a device inside a base, while the defenders battle to stop them. To win you need to either plant the charge and detonate it or kill all opposing guardians.(Basically Search and Destroy.)

destiny2wallpaper99w

Control – In this game mode, two teams battle it out for control over three objectives dotted throughout the map.

Survival –  this one is all about staying alive. Each team has a respawn pool of six lives, and it’s all about whittling away the enemy’s lives while protecting your own. It promises intense action and proper coordination to succeed, or just charge them with shotguns.

Clash – Clash brings it back to basics with this Team Death-match mode, where you’re racing to get as many kills as possible for your team.

Supremacy – Supremacy is basically kill-confirmed but instead of getting dog tags you’re securing points for their teams by collecting crests from the bodies of their fallen enemies.

Crests_Grimoire_Card

Breakthrough– In this one two teams face against each other to capture the space in the middle of the map known as the breaker once the breaker has been activated the opposing teams vault will be hackable. you win by either hacking the opposing teams vault or by defending for vault for 3 minutes

maps

vlcsnap-2017-09-06-13h45m42s133Midtown – here you’ll be facing against fellow guardians in the last city which is mostly open areas with on two or three shops you can fight in.

D2_Crucible_action_8Retribution – in this map you take your fight to the sky of mars where you’ll be fighting in a cabal war ship with tight corridors and few open areas, how you haven’t gotten kicked off is beyond me.

maxresdefault.jpgEndless Vale – set on the planet Nessus, and features tight corridors which branch into large open spaces.

vostok-pvp-gp200-00-01-22still001-1499901114823_1280w.jpgVostok – Vostok is a reworked version of the first game’s Iron Temple social space, introduced with the launch of the Rise of Iron expansion.

Altar_of_Flame.jpgAltar of Flame – Altar of Flame is the first map to be set on Mercury and to showcase the new Survival game mode. long range weapons are best at this map.

Javelin-4Javelin-4 – Javelin-4 provides an extremely tense, arena-like battle, with a big central space where its usually a war zone

crucible_cliffside.jpgThe Dead Cliffs – The Dead Cliffs is set on the European Dead Zone (EDZ) and features a number of sheer drops, amidst its narrow passages and open industrial areas.

crucibleguideheader1.jpegThe Fortress – Perhaps Destiny 2’s most versatile map, The Fortress is home to a castle, elaborate cave systems and deadly open terrain, along with what looks like a crashed space ship.

vlcsnap-2017-09-07-13h51m25s990-678x381.pngLegion’s Gulch – Launch yourself from the crumbling ruins of a lost city and onto an enormous Cabal drill on the close-quarters Legions Gulch.

Emperor's_Respite.jpgEmperor’s Respite – Taking place on the Leviathan, do battle in Calus’s grand palace. so try not to mess it up to much

DKMAbYqVAAASHf7.jpg-large.jpegEternity – Introduced in the very first week of Trials of the Nine, this map is fantastical and alien in appearance & feels very unique, however its mostly white so try not to wear any black.

Distant_Shore.jpgDistant Shores – Originally called the Shores of Time in Destiny 1, it’s been reskinned to fit the Arcadian theme in Destiny 2. It’s reminiscent of a larger version of Endless Vale and plays really well. There’s a great mixture of open and enclosed spaces, with intense firefights taking place in almost every area of the map

Wormhaven.jpgWormhaven –  this map is set in Titan’ Hive infested Arcology and it’s being regarded as an instant classic. It’s reminiscent of Halo in it’s simplistic design and this makes for some brilliant, back-to-basics firefights.

destiny_2_curse_of_osiris_pvp_pacifica-5.jpgPacifica – This map’s set aboard one of Titan’s rigs and features verticality, tight corridors and a steep learning curve.

destiny2radiantcliffsguide.jpgRadiant Cliffs – Snuck into the Destiny 2 Crucible playlist with the Curse of Osiris DLC, the Radiant Cliffs has turned out to be one of our favourite maps. There’s a minimalist aspect to this map which I like.
